American Standard 2475.500.002 Colony Soft Double-Handle Centerset Bar Sink Lava

Beware: This is not the faucet it used to be. There are colony soft faucets that are made with cheap aluminum retaining stem nuts and bad ceramic cartriges. I bought a colony long time ago with worked fine in my parents home, so I recently decided to buy one myself...Same model, but mine was made with substandard parts. The stem retaining nut was made of aluminum which within a year corroded. pitted and split in two by itself. My Kitchen was flooded and I was without a sink for a week. The customer service agent sent a replacement brass nut which didn't fit properly and forgot to include the cartrigae which was damaged when the stem hit the ceiling along with the water. Beware: Local hardware stores do not stock replacement parts for American Standard, but sell their products. I was told mine would arrive fedex next day, but it came a week later via standard mail.

We bought a version of this for our bathroom vanity. Our set was the same price but does not have the gooseneck spout and it is in the brushed nickel coating, not chrome. We are very happy with this purchase and have no complaints 2 weeks after installation.

We had an expensive Price-Pfister faucet that kept leaking and needed to be replaced. Their customer service was excellent as they kept sending replacement parts but it got to be a bit much. We looked around and did not want to spend over $100 for another faucet since we also had to factor in the cost of a plumber for installation.

We ran across this faucet and quickly agreed it was a steal. It looked very elegant, especially considering the price. There are a few cheaper choices but they looked cheap too.
