This hose is slightly thinner than the original so it slides out and in easier without the need of the weight. This allows you to extend the hose farther since the weight doesn't act as a stop. Since it isn't as rigid it makes it tricky to feed it through the channel. It took me about 6 times before I succeeded. I wrapped teflon tape around the threads to protect them from getting damaged. I thought afterwards of maybe stuffing part of a paper towel to make the end rigid. Don't know if that would have worked or not.
