Delta Faucet 978-SSSD Leland Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Pull Down Spray Wand and Soap Dispenser, Stainless

This is a beautiful and well made faucet, however, it is quite large! Once installed it is just over 14 inches from the counter top to the top of the arc of the faucet. Make sure you want a faucet that big for your kitchen.
I find the pull down sprayer to be a bit difficult to work with. In order to change from a stream to a spray you twist the bottom portion of the head in additon to twisting the head off to pull it down. The pull down head doesn't fully re-engage itself when you release it and it requires that you push it up and twist it to lock it into place.
The faucet swivels 360 degrees, which is nice, however it has a lot of "play" in it, meaning it swivels quickly without much pressure. It only takes a bit more than a gentle nudge and you'll find water streaming onto the counter behind the sink.
The soap dispenser is nice, but it already seems to be a slightly different "shade" of stainless color. I'm a bit concerned that it is going to discolor over...Read more

I purchased this faucet to replace a low-end faucet installed by the builder two years ago that was already giving us problems. The quality is excellent and it was very easy to install with the flexible supply lines that were already in use with the old faucet. I did have to purchase one new line since the old one was a little short. The pull-down spray head with multiple spray patterns is an excellent addition. It has a twist-lock connector to keep it in place when not in use. This is a feature that I did not see on some other pull-down spray faucets.

After looking for over a week locally for the "right" faucet for my new kitchen, I went to Delta Faucets on line and was referred to Amazon.com. I immediately found this Delta faucet, and it is wonderful. This item was priced $60.00 below the local "home improvement" stores and was received within 5 days. The flow to spray mechanism is a simple turn of a dial, nothing to break or wear out. The hose extension mechanism is also a simple turn of a dial, again, with no rubber gasket to wearout or button to break. I would recommend this faucet to everyone.
