Touch 2 0 Technology Prevents the Spread of Bacteria and Saves Money
With Pilar's Touch 2 0 Technology, it doesn't matter if your hands are full of dishes or if you're up to your elbows in cake batter--just use your wrist or forearm to tap anywhere on the faucet's spout or handle to stop and start the flow of water.

This smart technology can help prevent the spread of bacteria in your kitchen. If you've been working with raw foods and your hands are a mess, you can just tap the faucet with your forearm, wash your hands, and keep your surfaces--including your faucet!--as clean and safe as possible.

The faucet will also help you conserve water and save money. As you prepare food or wash up in the sink, just tap the faucet to keep water from running when you don't need it; touch it again to start the water flowing. Eco-friendly, the Pilar features a flow rate of 2.2 gallons per minute at 60 psi, 8.3 liters per minute at 414 kPa.

Intelligent Design Fuses Technology and Nature
Inspired by natural beauty and aided by innovative technology, the Pilar will complement any kitchen. Its patented Brilliance Stainless finish is guaranteed not to corrode, tarnish, or discolor for as long as you own your home.

Adding to the Pilar's good looks is a single, sleek, easy-to-use handle. Simple right-to-left movement of the handle adjusts water temperature, while up-and-down movement adjusts flow rate. A ready-to-install chrome soap dispenser completes the faucet's sleek design, enhancing usability and keeping your kitchen countertop tidy and clutter-free.

The Pilar's pull-down wand has a swivel range of 360 degrees as well as a toggle push button that allows you to choose between aerated spray and stream modes. An added bonus, the wand head is equipped with Touch-Clean: soft, rubber nubbins that allow you to wipe away calcium and lime buildup with the touch of a finger. Additionally, the wand's 59-inch hose ensures that every corner of your sink will stay clean. For ease of use, the hose is fed by gravity, extending and retracting without friction points.

Delta's MagnaTite docking keeps the Pilar's wand in place with a powerful magnet, so the wand stays right where it should, and your sink stays neat and tidy. As you raise the wand to dock it, the magnet embedded in the spout will pull the wand precisely into place; the wand comes free with a gentle tug.

Diamond Seal Technology for Durability and Safety
The Pilar features Delta's Diamond Seal Technology, which uses an electronic valve with a diamond coating for durability. Designed with this smart technology, the Pilar is built to last up to five million uses.

Plus, Diamond Seal Technology keeps water that's inside the faucet out of contact with potential metal contaminants, keeping you and your family as safe as can be. Also, the handle limit stop makes it easy for you to limit the range of the handle motion for hot water and protect your family from accidental scalding.

Diamond Seal Technology features one-piece InnoFlex waterways with PEX-C tubing, making the Pilar simple to install. This faucet has three-hole, 6-to-16-inch installation; 32-inch minimum supply lines below the deck are included.

The Pilar Single Handle Pull-Down Faucet with Soap Dispenser is ADA compliant and comes with the Delta Electronic Faucet Limited Warranty. Four alkaline 'C' batteries (not included) are required for operation.

Summary: Convenient, but not perfect 2010-03-09
Comment: Overall, we're happy with this faucet, but at the end of the day, I'm not sure the price justifies the convenience. The two major issues we have with it are that the neck of the unit is not as sensitive as the handle, so we end up touching the handle more often than not. For whatever reason, the curved portion of the neck, which we were expecting to use as the on/off, is not very sensitive, so it doesn't always turn the unit on and off...the handle, however, works fine and reliably. Also, it seems to chew through batteries quickly. We've had it for about six weeks and we're currently on our third set of batteries. Now, it's possible we just had bad batteries, so maybe that's the reason. Rechargeable batteries will be the next step if this continues, to help defray the cost somewhat. We also can't get the facuet to operate without batteries...at all...meaning we can't get water to come out when the batteries die. I thought others had mentioned it still works manually without battery power, but we can't get it to do so...that's a fairly significant issue, so be sure to have an extra set of batteries on hand! Overall, it's a nice faucet, just not sure it's worth the extra price...it does look nice, though, and the pull out spray is really nice with the magnetic feature to re-set it perfectly.

Comment: NICE!
We haven't had any trouble with ours like some of the reviewers stated.
I installed it myself and only needed to have the wife steady it during the tightening up of it.
I didn't use the soap dispenser because we have an RO water dispenser in the 3rd hole in our granite counter. And this takes up two holes for the faucet and the handle.
We've had ours since before Thanksgiving 2009 and to date are still loving it.
Some people crack you up when they try and use it. They touch it too fast and repeatedly.
Once I show them to slow down, it works fine for them.

Comment: Found the faucet easy to install (just follow the instructions) and works great and I'm not a plumber. Also looks very nice.
Installed it after having new granite counter tops put in and my wife thinks she likes the faucet even more than the counter tops.

Summary: Still Going; Damn Cat 2010-01-17
Comment: Updated our kitchen and added the Delta Pillar Touch2O faucet. It has been installed and working for about a month and a half. So far, it has worked very well except for twice it stopped and the indicator light turned from blue to red (no water). Not sure what made that happen, but by unplugging the batteries seemed to reset it and it has been working for approx 4wks just fine. Oh ya, the cat has figured out how to turn it on too so now we have to put the water temp/pressure lever in the off position before we leave the house. Fortunately, the unit shuts itself off after running for about 2 minutes.

So far we are happy with it and would buy it again.

Comment: The faucet was easy to install but I was a plumber before I retired. It works great for me. However, if your wife has cold hands she might get frustrated with it. It does not respond well to cold hands. So far I've had the faucet for a couple months and it works as discribed. The light is handy so you feel confident that the batteries are good.

Have not had any probelms with the faucet. The soap dispenser is kind of flemsey. I get the feeling that it is about to break off when I try to get soap out of it but it does work and is handy so as not to have to get soap out from under the sink everytime I want to soak a pot in soapy water.

Works great and is a lot of fun...
