This review is from: Delta 989-SS-DST Allora Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Stainless (Tools & Home Improvement) Love this new faucet. Sleek and stylish. Magnetic seating of spray head is great. No more fumbling to reseat the spray head after use and it stays in place. Switching from spray to stream is easy with the large toggle-style button on the spray head. Only one minor complaint is the faucet handle has a specific position that it must be in for the faucet to be completely off. (Or so it seems to me. Others in our household think I'm too fussy.) To be totally off, the handle must be pushed all the way up and in the center of its path of travel. If you're off a bit the faucet will drip a bit. Not a big deal but if you're rushing around the kitchen and hurriedly push the handle to the off position and don't get it exactly in the right spot you'll have a tiny drip. It's easily solved by just giving the handle a little nudge, so in no way is this a show stopper; it's just a minor thing to get used to. We replaced parts of the valve but it continues to leak. It seems the entire valve assembly might need replacement. I will replace this facuet with one that has ceramic cartridges. This faucet uses very old technology and it is not worth its very high cost. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Delta 989-SS-DST Allora Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Stainless (Tools & Home Improvement) We bought this faucet to replace a similarly-designed Hansgrohe that started leaking. When we pulled this Delta out of the box, there was no magnet in the stationary portion of the faucet to match up with the magnet in the pull-down head. (I immediately checked the box to see if it was made in China, but learned it is assembled in the U.S.!) We called Delta, and they shipped a replacement part for the stationary portion of the faucet. We have been using this Delta faucet for several weeks now and LOVE it! It looks nice, the pull-down head goes back into place very easily AND STAYS THERE (which our Hansgrohe did NOT do on a consistent basis; it seemed that I had to put it back up in place at least once a day), it seems to have more water pressure than the Hansgrohe (which doesn't make sense, but my husband agrees that the water seems to come out with more pressure). My favorite feature (after the magnets that hold the head in place) is the spray feature. This faucet has a button...Read more |
