Summary: Love the touch control 2010-08-25
Comment: This faucet uses a touch control system that turns the faucet on and off with just a touch of the neck or control handle. I like this feature because with the back of my hand I can easily turn off the water while washing a pot and then back on to rinse. You have to get used to only touching the pull out spout when you use it otherwise you can inadvertently turn off the water. I would prefer it if the spray mode had a slightly wider spread.
Make sure you install this faucet far enough back from the sink. It has a fairly large overhang and the water spray angles out slightly. As a result my plumber mounted the faucet a little too close to my sink and so even though I have a large sink the water stream is too close to the front and splashes out when I'm rinsing.
Over all this is a great faucet and I'm very happy with it. I picked it up on Amazon for about half of what it cost in a local store.

Summary: Love the faucet! 2010-08-25
Comment: Fell in love with the tv ads. Looked in plumbing supply houses at it and received mixed reviews from the sales staff although no one ever said why it was not a good faucet to have. The amazon price was SIGNIFICANTLY less than any other discount. Anyhow, the whole family loves it, had it for months now and i love the feel, the appearance and performance of the faucet. A great buy!

Summary: Close to perfect. 2010-08-23
Comment: My wife had to talk me into spending the extra cash to buy this Cadillac of faucets. I just didn't see the need to spend this kind of money when I can get a similar one for hundreds less. Now that I've got this faucet all I can say is, "I LOVE IT!!". It does everything the commercials show it doing. I would absolutely recommend this product. The down side is that it came with a defective solenoid unit. This was frustrating, but Delta sent a replacement right away. Any company that develops a product like this and spends as much as they do on advertising is certainly going to make it right to eliminate any possible bad press. It was a bit disappointing to not have it work right away, but it was worth it in the end. Its just kind of funny when you try to wipe up the counter around it. Its pretty sensitive. I've been squirted a few times. :-)

Summary: Way to sensitive 2010-08-17
Comment: I was so excited about this faucet...it was one of the first things I ordered in our kitchen remodel. However, after 2 weeks, the jury's still out. It's just too sensitive. It just goes on and off when you're washing your hands (if they're too close) or washing dishes, which is extremely annoying. The most annoying, though, is when you grab the spout to spray off your dishes, and it goes off. Then it'll go back on and off, repeatedly, for several times.

And I've looked everywhere for more instruction on operation beyond "just touch it to turn it off and on!" (ie - turn off or wait one second with hand on nozzle before pulling it down to spray), and it's no where.

Lastly, it really "thuds" when it turns on and off with the touch function, which doesn't sound right either.

My husband hates it and is only giving me 1 more week before I have to just turn it to manual operation. I really want it to work, but it's just too frustrating while doing already frustrating dishes. Any advice is welcome.

Summary: Works great - we love it 2010-07-25
Comment: We loved the concept, so despite some negative comments on battery life and odd behavior, we ordered as part of our kitchen makeover. It came in just 2 days w/ standard shipping (Connecticut). The large size goes perfectly with our chocolate Elkay e-granite sink ($400) and Kohler top-of-the line stainless drains ($50 each).

Installation was a bit more involved than a typical faucet, but not bad considering the extra components. A wrench was included for
snugging up the attaching plates. The included inlet pipes are quite long, and my old plumbing (1/2" copper) went up quite high, so I opted to cut my copper back to about 6" tall. I was pleasantly surprised to see new "slip-on" chrome ball valves at the big-box stores.. for about $8 (?) each I avoided the hassle of soldering. Just cut the pipe clean, slide on the value, then connect the Delta piping using the included nuts.

We've had the unit since May (3 months), and are still on our original batteries (it takes 4 C-cells). Not sure why some reviewers are having battery life issues - maybe they didn't wire correctly or maybe they leave it "on" (blue light on) much of the time. We leave the handle in the on position and use the touch feature almost exclusively. Sensitivity seems fine... a gentle touch on the underside of the spout with the back of the hand/wrist is all that's needed (we have not seen a lack of sensitivity in the spout as mentioned by one reviewer - I suspect they haven't properly attached the included wire/strap).

We are on well water; pressure is relatively low and the faucet turns on/off with a clear but well muffled "thunk" as expected. Not sure how this would change in a high-pressure city water setup.

Note there is a 4-minute auto-off feature, but I'd recommend turning off the handle

It's almost perfect, but not quite... on 2 or 3 occassions it turned off/on several times quickly before settling down - this was always when we went to use the faucet and perhaps touched it several times - so partly our fault for confusing it :-)

Would definitely highly recommend to others. The spout and handle are typical Delta high quality stainless; the magnetic spout holder works great. The soap dispenser seems to be plastic, not stainless. I am hoping for a long life solenoid.
