Summary: One that looks nice from a distance and one with a bad sensor? 2010-07-22
Comment: I disagree with the comment by [...] in response to another customer with issues...... I had a problem with the finish and touch sensor technology on two pilar faucets and called to speak with customer service. I was told to take a picture and email it to them! I don't even own a digital camera... so much for customer service. I have another one of these for my bar sink that looks and works GREAT........However I am now forced to live with two 400 faucets that look nice from a distance until you stand over it and see a glaring defect in the spout and the other that the touch technology has quit working. I would have thought that Delta would have stood behind this product better than making their customers take pictures and jump through various hoops to get a replacement. If I could return it to the store for a replacement I would. In my opinion, in the current condition of two of the three I own, it may be best in the recycle bin. I mean, why not replace it like most manufactures to keep face and loyalty of their customer???? I understand a bad product among thousands once in a while ....as long as you stand behind it!...

Summary: Kitchen remodel 2010-06-29
Comment: I remodeled my kitchen and bought the Delta touch 2 faucet. When installed it did not work however Delta sent a new "brain" for it. Delta also sent a local plumber to make the repair, when he did he found it was the battery holder that was not working. It works great now. Love that I can turn the water on when my hands are messy and don't have to wipe down the faucet after my hands are clean. Very easy to get use to using this faucet and a fun item for every day use.

Summary: Wow this faucet is the Humvee of faucets! 2010-06-24
Comment: On appearance alone this faucet is five stars. It is large and sturdy. The stainless steel finish is awesome; smooth and silky finish with grey and silver hues. I call it the Humvee of faucets for the strong appearance and size. This faucet size makes other faucets look like toys.

I honestly can't speak on installation issues. I can say the plumber enjoyed installing and playing with this faucet. He loved it. It seemed to go smoothly for him and he had a kick toying with it.

On functionality I would give this faucet a five. It is large and so larger pots clear no problem. The spray nozzle can be extended and moved from one side to the other. The spray hose appears to be strong and is flexible. The touch function works like a dream. There is a sliding button on nozzle to adjust spray to a steady stream or for spray. The control for water temperature is on the side stalk and I love how it pivots.

I have noticed some reviews mention the solonoid going bad. I just bought this so can't speak to that issue. I bought anyway because it looks like Delta support is good. I will amend this review if there is any issue in the future.

The only other thing I would mention for someone considering this faucet is the single stalk mount itself does not pivot-it stays fixed. So our sink is divided and the plumber mounted with a tilt toward one side of the sink where we do most of our dishwashing. This tilt makes it look a little off center. However this is a mounting choice and not a necessity; you could mount on center and then pull out the spray nozzle toward which ever side you need to use it. It must be that more sinks are made now without a division in the middle and our sink is old school.

To sum up this faucet is awesome. I hesitated due to price but when you see it you can appreciate the fit and finish. No regrets! Love it!

Summary: Review update -- works great. 2010-05-13
Comment: We had our plumber/electrician install this faucet and he was unable to do so, announcing the product defective (see original review, below). However, my 18-year-old son looked at it and after 10 minutes had it fixed and working perfectly. (The plumber had the contact for the faucet connected to ground.) It takes a while to get used to, but now I find myself touching other faucets with the back of my wrist to turn them on. My sons and husband love it, "It's SO COOL!"

ORIGINAL REVIEW: We are remodeling our kitchen and were excited to install this "cool," high-tech faucet but it doesn't work right. The touch function works on the handle but not on the faucet. If you leave it in touch mode, the faucet turns on by itself unpredictably. The pull-out handle does not retract -- the electronics for the faucet are the "weights" that are supposed to pull it back into place, but it doesn't pull it back. This was not a DIY install -- I hired a contractor to install it. He says that it is connected properly and grounded and there are no adjustments to make, so we're stuck with this.

I could turn off the electronics and use it as a standard faucet, but I still have the problem with the sprayer not retracting. Not good.

Unfortunately this was the first item we ordered for our remodel so it's past the 30-day return time, AND the contractor threw away the box so we are out $300. Very disappointed.

Summary: Awesome! 2010-05-07
Comment: We've had this faucet installed for about 2 months and I love it! Not only does it look amazing with our new kitchen, but it works beautifully and it's fun! Never thought I'd get so excited about turning water on and off - but the faucet makes it easy and practical. How many times my hands are grungy (why else would I need to wash them?) and touching the faucet with the back or my hand, forearm, or wrist makes washing them quick and easy without spreading all the grunge. Our plumber commented that it was easy to install. My concern was that such a tall faucet would create a lot of side spray, but it is just the opposite. We have a deep sink (9") but there is no unwanted splashing and the pull out is fantastic. I would definitely do this one again.
