The plumber said it was one of the highest quality faucets he's installed. Stainless steel parts throughout with a high end ceramic valve - he couldn't believe the price. We've been using it for several months now and it's been great. No problems, no leaks, no complaints. We get a lot of compliments on the way it looks, it looks better out of the box than in the pictures. There are some nice subtle features engineered into the product that deserve mention. The pull-out locks back into place with a magnet that aligns it so that the nozzle is ready for use next time, gives a nice click to let you know that it's secure. The faucet can be pulled out of the base for easy cleaning. We actually like the spray button that turns off after you release it. Hardest part of the install was getting the old faucet out. Once that was done, this new faucet was super easy to install. Comes with all the connecting hoses, etc.
Unlike the other reviewer, I like the fact that the spray function only stays on when you depress the button on the side of the pull out nozzle. Release the button and it goes back to normal flow. Nice design. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Hansgrohe Metro E High Arc Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel Optic #06697860 (Tools & Home Improvement) Let me preface this review by saying that although I consider myself a naturally mechanical person, I have never done any plumbing work before installing this faucet.
This faucet was easy to install -- it took me about an hour to remove my old faucet and about an hour to get this faucet installed. I didn't change out the base plate -- I'm guessing if I did that it would have taken a little longer. The instructions were easy to follow and very clear. The only tools needed to install the sink were 1 flat-head screw driver, 1 Phillips-head screwdriver, and 2 adjustable wrenches (or two correctly sized forged wrenches). You don't need Teflon tape to get a tight seal, but I'm sure some people will want to use it anyway. The faucet is not cheap -- the threads are not plastic but metal and weren't effected by me sliding the faucet threw a metal hole and scraping the sides of the threads. The water pressure / temperature...Read more |
