New unit out of the box had defective check valve. Water temperature never went above 174, water spattered out in different directions - from seam between the neck and nozzle, AND 2 air vents and nozzle tip. Hot and cold water selections would continue to run after tap closed. After cold water was turned off, hot water would continue to run a few moments.

When technician came to change the hot water tank because it would not heat above 174 degrees, he said dispenser unit was also defective and ordered a replacement dispenser. The new dispenser works well.

Shortcomings: water temperature immediately after the heating cycle ends does not reach the advertised 200 degrees, but it's close enough at 190 to make coffee and tea. The problem is the temperature in the tank drops too far between heating cycles, so we often have to heat the water in the microwave for 30 seconds to get it up to 190.
