Summary: Still going strong. Nice product. 2010-03-04
Comment: This has been installed for over 1+ years and still works perfectly. We use this all the time. A "Must have" if you are a tea drinker.

Summary: Very Pleased!! 2010-02-24
Comment: We have used this hot water dispenser for over three years with absolutely no problem and I use it throughout the day every day. I drink a LOT of hot tea so it gets used all the time. I had the same kind at my other home and never had a problem with it there, either. I hate to see that so many have had a bad experience with it but it has worked great for us and doesn't take up a ton of space. I couldn't be more pleased...for the price, it's my favorite kitchen appliance!

Summary: Leaking InSinkErator Instant Hot Water Dispenser 2010-02-21
Comment: I have just spent the better part of the day cleaning up the mess that was created by this instant hot water heater. It damaged the sink cabinet and all it's contents. A hot water kettle such as the Aroma AWK-115S 1-1/2-Liter Hot H20 X-PressWater Kettle from Amazon is a much safer and more energy efficient solution. Do not install this in your home unless you like leaks.

Summary: Doesn't last 2010-02-14
Comment: We've had two Insinkerator units in the past 9 years and we now have to get a third. For some reason I never expected that these units would be a periodic replacement item. The failure mechanism has been the same both times, leaking under the sink and flooding the cabinet. It seems strange that so many people have a negative opinion about this unit and I've decided to give another brand a try. --From what I've read there are better units out there.

Summary: An inexpensive easy solution. 2010-02-09
Comment: After about five years, the handle did break on our unit. I just called the customer service line, and they promised to send a free replacement. Until now, we have been very pleased.
This unit replaced a much more complex, expensive, and larger unit. The nice thing about this unit is that you get hot water instantly (instead of waiting for the delivery pipe to fill from a tank that is further away). It is not whisper quiet, but in our kitchen, that is not a problem.
