KOHLER Forte®Single-Control Remote Valve Kitchen Sink Faucet with Sidespray and Lever Handle

Comment: As always, Amazon delivered exactly what I ordered on time and in great condition. We knew what we were looking for when we checked prices on Amazon and other sites. It was least expensive here, and shipped in its original factory sealed packaging. The product is beautiful but has smaller water supply lines than our previous faucet so the water pressure at the sink seems lower. Now that we're used to it we're fine with it. Also the hose for the sprayer isn't weighted and we have to feed it back in after using it but that is no big deal. The beauty of the design makes up for both deficiences.

Comment: I've had this faucet installed for about a year now, with no problems. Everybody thinks it looks great. It was fairly easy to install and I've had no problems with it.

One word of advice: I installed it as it appears in the picture, with the handle on the right and the sprayer on the left. I quickly found that as a right-handed person, you want the sprayer on the right and the handle on the left. So, at some point I'll get around to switching it...

Comment: This is a very nice looking faucet; however, the "quick" connection between the hand spray to the water supply line is poorly designed / constructed. The first time I installed the faucet, the connection between the hand spray and the water supply line would not stay connected. It would disconnect whenever I used the hand spray and water sprayed everywhere under the sink. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I called a plumber who looked at it and said that it was a well-known design defect with Kohler kitchen faucets. I liked the look of the Kohler faucet so I returned it to Home Depot and got a replacement and reinstalled it. After reinstalling the faucet, it worked great for a couple of days until I used the hand spray. Again, the connection between the hand spray and water supply line disconnected. Since I couldn't fix it with a aftermarket part, I took the Kohler faucet back to Home Depot for a refund and replaced it with a cheaper and similar Delta faucet.

The plumber said that Kohler uses a poorly designed / constructed connections compared to those used by Moen and Delta. I tend to agree. It looks like something that could be corrected with a $2 factory fix.

Comment: Saw this faucet and it was love at first sight. The main faucet is high enough to be able to rinse even the most awkward of dishes and cleans like a champ. The on/off level handle is easy to manuever and the side spray is excellent reaching 18 inches diagonally. The only minor complaint I have is that the spray nozzle doesn't automatically retract you have to do that part by yourself. But its really no big deal once you get used to it. My husband installed the 3 combo faucet and said it was very easy to install and the directions were clear. We did not get the soap dispenser because of the complaints of them getting clogged. You won't regret buying the one that does not have the soap dispenser. This 3 combo is worth every cent!!!!

Comment: The faucet is beautiful. We love that it is high and can easily fill stock pots. Sprayer seems to be perpetually only partially in place. I'm forever putting it back. The color is beautiful, but a bit hard to clean with our hard water. An occassional wipe with vinegar seems to return the patina.

We received a box that appeared to have already been opened. So we requested a replacement. The second box also seemed to have been opened, so we went ahead and called our plumber to install it. It was a huge problem to discover that BOTH boxes were MISSING THE ADAPTOR (which is included in the parts list). The plumber charged us an extra $70 to go get a compatible piece so he could finish the install. Amazon was great to work with and reinbursed us for this cost. We also contacted Kohler through customer service. They never responded back. All is well in the end, but make sure to check for that adaptor piece before you begin installation.
