In my case the supply lines were too short even though I don't consider our shutoffs to be that unusual. That entailed a trip to the hardware store and spending as much as I would have to provide my own supply lines in the first place. In addition, if you attach the faucet to an installed sink before attaching the sprayer hose per the instructions you have to depend on hand tightening the hose because there isn't even enough room for a sink wrench. The sprayer attach point is up between the back of the sink and the extended bolt which holds the faucet to the sink. Initially, using the sprayer tended to loosen the connection so it leaked, but I tightened it, then left it alone for a few days. It seems ok now. The only thing about the faucet that could be better is that the sprayer hose out-gases for a while and is fairly stiff plastic so it's a little hard to get the hose configured under...Read more 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By tjmaj (Buffalo, NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: KOHLER K-10413-CP Forte Single Control Kitchen Sink Faucet, Polished Chrome (Tools & Home Improvement) Excellent faucet. Easy install. Even the supply lines are included. Very well made compared to the 'name' brands ive looked at in stores. Check the shipping weight compared to other similar faucets. This one was almost 9 lbs. Very heavy comparatively. I'd buy this one again. 14 of 16 people found the following review helpful: By Vicky in Vancouver (Vancouver, WA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: KOHLER K-10413-CP Forte Single Control Kitchen Sink Faucet, Polished Chrome (Tools & Home Improvement) My husband installed this faucet and encountered two problems with the installation (both mentioned in other reviews). First, the hot and cold water hoses are somewhat short, in our case quite a bit too short. Normally this would be a small problem easily solved by a trip to the nearest hardware store for longer hoses. The problem with this faucet is that the connection of the hose to the faucet is not the standard size so simply replacing the hose doesn't work. My husband solved this by getting an additional short standard hose and a 1/2"X3/8" nipple to connect between the supplied hose and the water supply. The second problem is that the instructions tell you to attach the sprayer hose to the faucet AFTER the faucet is mounted on the sink. If the sprayer hose fitting had a standard type of connection where a wrench could be used this might have worked. It does not however, apparently being designed to tighten either by hand or with a pair of pliers. In our case there was not enough...Read more |
