Ok, I was in the middle of remodeling the kitchen and needed to pick up a dishwasher air gap. And after spending $400 on a sink and nearly as much on the new faucet, I was looking to cut costs. Air gaps are all the same, right? Well, that's pretty much true. The white plastic guts seem to be the same. But not so with the stainless cover.

I picked up an air gap unit at Lowe's and paid just under $15. I thought that was crazy. Then at Home Depot I saw a virtually identical one that was at least as nice for half the price. LOWE'S, what are you thinking???? I returned it and when the cashier asked why, I told her, "Because it's twice the price as you-know-where." She gave me a knowing smile and processed the return.

I installed the Home Depot air gap and it left some of the white guts exposed, which wasn't going to work in a brand new kitchen. So I went ahead and ordered this one from Amazon. It's a keeper, and the flanged bottom goes all the way down to the granite...Read more

List price $125!? I think it's almost high priced at $30. The stainless finish, which I notice can differ between different brand fixtures, matches my Moen nicely. Quality-wise it looks the same as any other dishwasher air gap.

Very happy. It was listed as used like new but what I received appeared new. I paid about 25% of list. I am a happy camper.
