Stopped heating water at 18 months,

When remodeling, the plumber selected the Little Gourmet instant water heater for two locations. 18 months after installation, the one in the kitchen stopped producing how water, although the one in the basement bar continues to work. I called the manufacturer about the failed product and was, in essence, told since it was out of warranty tough luck. Lesson: given the warranty limitation, do not buy such an expensive unit.
