2.0 out of 5 stars Poor durability, July 2, 2011
We bought this faucet from Home Depot about November of 2009 for about $150. We were at first a little leery of the cheap plastic pull-out handle but couldn't afford anything more expensive. The hose is flexible plastic wrapped with black, knit nylon which at first glance seems pretty durable. The salesman mentioned that the nylon would probably wear out but not to worry because they had replacements. I thought that was a little odd because the hose seemed like it would hold up pretty well. It was fairly easy to install and it worked just fine for about 9 - 12 months. Then we noticed that the underside of the hose was all torn up. Turns out, every time we pulled out the hose the nylon around the hose was being sliced up by the sharp corners of the spray handle retaining guide at the underside of the base. After it started, the nylon quickly got worse to the point a long section of plastic hose was completely bare and little black bits of nylon were always showing up in the...Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Glad I waited a couple of weeks to review, December 20, 2011
Faucet broke cleaning up Thanksgiving dinner, luckily near the conclusion. On Black Friday I ventured out to my Home Depot for a new faucet and ended up with the F-538-5LCS. Price Pfister is a good name and the faucet was reasonably priced. Installed easily and was initially very happy with it. After about 10 says the hot water pressure diminished to unusable amount... contacted Price Pfister via their email link and received a response that the required part was sent out and would arrive in 7-10 days... I called and said that was unacceptable, was told that was their warrantee policy, I said this was not a warantee issue since it was so new. To their credit sent me the replacement overnight. Sadly the replacement cartridge did nothing to remedy the issue. Further troubleshooting had me replace my feeder lines a,d "blow out" the lines... issue persisted. I ended up removing the entire faucet and replacing it with the same model that served so well for so many years... a Moen

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It is discounted faucet. It is simple shape for kitchen. Not much function.
It is easy to pull out but very weak handle. The narrow range of faucet activity is need to improve.
Straight and spread out is only choice for water.
